Community Consultation
Please join us for our third community consultation
Over the past several months we have begun to more seriously plan for the return of sacred Mākua Valley. Please join us as we envision and plan for the future.
Below are photos from our first two consultations. On June 6th, we began the day with a three hour community consultation before heading into Mākua Valley for lunch and a short cultural access. We visited the Mākua Ahu, the Kiʻi Pōhaku, and talked story in the pavilion. On June 20th, we held a four-hour community consultation in which state and military representatives were present to field questions from community members. More extensive meeting notes can be found below.
